Gender pay gap

Gender pay gap is calculated as difference between the average monthly gross wages and salaries of men and women as a proportion of average monthly gross wages and salaries of men’s wages and salaries. For example, 8.7% gender gap denotes that women on average earn 8.7% less per month than men. Conversely, a negative 8.7% gender pay gap denotes that women earn on average 8.7% more than men.
