Last year, 27.2 % of households had difficulties covering their daily expenses
In 2020, 27.2 % of households covered their daily expenses with difficulties or with great difficulties, which is 1.4 percentage points less than in 2019, when 28.6 % of households had such difficulties.
The informative leaflet reflects at-risk of poverty rate and social exclusion indicators in Latvia, as well as dimensions of indicator (at-risk-of-poverty rate, low work intensity, severe material deprivation) are analysed based on the data acquired via annual survey European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC 2020). The leaflet contains tables and charts, as well as description of indicators characterising poverty and social exclusion.
In 2019, household disposable income increased by 6.8 %
Compared to 2018, in 2019 household disposable income1 increased by 6.8 %, reaching 583 euros per household member monthly. Population income grew significantly slower than in previous years.
