In 2018, household disposable income increased by 11.7 %
Compared to 2017, in 2018 household disposable income increased by 11.7 %, reaching 546 euros per household member monthly. For the second year in a row, the growth rate of population income has been above 10 % (11.8 % – in 2017).
Just like in other European countries, demographic burden in Latvia is rising, therefore successful youth integration into the labour market becomes increasingly significant. This informative leaflet is aimed at characterising Latvian youth (aged 18–24) with the help of demographic, education, labour status, and health status indicators as well as statistics for other current issues.
The collection of statistics covers information on the number of children births and deaths, as well as age composition, state of health, education, social protection thereof, risk of material deprivation and monetary poverty in households with children, economic activity of children, use of information technologies, violence against children and children in conflict with law in 2018 and in comparison, with the previous years.
