The Statistical Yearbook of Latvia is the most exhaustive annual publication of statistical information on the national economy and socio-economic processes in the country. The publication reflects data on 2019, compared to previous years.
Over the ten years availability of Internet at households has risen by 30 %
Share of households with Internet in 2020 has reached 89.7 %.
15.5 % of enterprises are selling goods or services over the Internet
99.9 % of Latvian enterprises used internet at the beginning of 2020, and 62.6 % of enterprises had their own website, of which 94.1 % of large enterprises, 81 % of medium-sized enterprises and 58.4 % of small enterprises.
The collection of statistics covers information on the number of children births and deaths, as well as age composition, state of health, education, social protection thereof, risk of material deprivation and monetary poverty in households with children, economic activity of children, use of information technologies, violence against children and children in conflict with law in 2018 and in comparison, with the previous years.
The brochure contains tables and graphs depicting information on the social and economic situation in Latvia. The data are based on the provisional statistical information and covers the year 2019 in comparison with the previous years.

Internet usage at households continues to increase
The share of households having access to the Internet at home is increasing each year – in 2019 it comprised 85.4 % of households.
During two years use of social media in enterprises rose by 10.9 percentage points
99 % of Latvian enterprises used internet at the beginning of 2019 and 64.2 % of enterprises had their own website.
