Latvia in Ten Years (only in Latvian)

This compiles reviews on the establishment of our independent country Latvia and activity of first ten years of its separate departments. These reviews show clearly that various institutions of our country it their short period of activity - ten years - have carried out their work and responsibilities with great joy, energy and strength, at the same time struggling constantly, especially a lot was taken up in years, with various difficulties and defects and overcoming them, always supplementing and reforming their composition and kind of activity. One should imagine great fights for freedom from 1918 to 1920, where literally took place what once was suffered by Jewish people, when they returned from heavy captivity in Babel to their native country, built there on rubble new church, and neighbouring folks disturbed and endangered it in this work in spirit of hatred: all of them held in one hand work trowel and in another – sword! When our great liberation, creativity and stabilization work done is noticed, without exaggeration and self-flattery it can be said that a great work at a national level has been done already. It is stated and witnessed by reports of all our departments. Constant creative activity and reformative movement meanwhile took place in all sectors of our national life, united with reception and consolidation of all good. This is also confirmed by strict eye of our country, national controller, in its review, stating with conviction that in national institutions' life, compared with initial years, "onset of healthy conditions can be established and if we (still) talk about corruption and enrichment at the expense of the country, it has to be considered separate cases, which are hard to be exterminated within a short period of time". Of course, it has to be exterminated without mercy and it will be exterminated completely. Also about the economic situation of the country national controller witnesses that "on the 10th anniversary of the country we can establish certain stability in our economic life disregard worries and other economic difficulties lasting for several years". These all are good and credible evidences which surely allow us to expect much better results from future well-settled life and activity in our country.
