Life expectancy is increasing gradually

Life expectancy at birth is the mean number of years an infant may expect to live if the mortality rates for each population group in the given year remained constant.

People in Latvia live on average five years longer than in 1991, and life expectancy is increasing gradually. However, males tend to live shorter life than females (by 9–11 years).
