Confidence indicator in retail trade
Confidence indicator in retail trade is composite indicator characterising the development of retail trade sector in timeseries. It is calculated as net balance of the answers to three questions: business situation over the last three months, business situation for next three months minus current volume of stocks. Balance is calculated as difference between positive and negative answers, expressed in per cent.
In respect to the business tendency indicators characterising the trend the respondent estimates the changes during the last 3 months (respondent has 3 options: improved, did not change, worsened).
In respect to the business tendency indicators characterising the future trend the respondent gives evaluation of the expected changes in next 3 months (respondent has 3 options: (will improve, will not change, will worsen).
In respect to the business tendency indicators characterising the level the respondent estimates the current situation (respondent has 3 options: good, satisfactory, bad).
