On manufacturing turnover in June 2011
Compared to May 2011, manufacturing turnover1 at current prices (according to seasonally adjusted data) in June 2011 increased by 2.3%, of which in domestic market - by 3.5% and in export - by 1.1%, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau. The most notable increase was recorded in manufacture in beverages - 12.5% (in domestic market rise of 15.6%, but in export growth of 3.3%), in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products – 24.5% (increase in both domestic market and export of 9.4% and 30.8%, respectively), and in manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations the turnover rose by 43.7% (growth in both domestic market and export).
Compared to June 2010, manufacturing turnover in June 2011, according to calendar adjusted data, increased by 20.9%, of which in domestic market – by 18.5% and in export – by 23.5%. It should be noted that out of 22 manufacturing sectors the rise was observed in 20. Significant rise was recorded in largest manufacturing sectors:manufacture of food products – 10% (growth in domestic market 7.3%, but increase in export comprise 20.7%), manufacture of wood and wood products – 15% (rise in domestic market 23.8%, but in export - 8.4%), manufacture of non-metallic mineral products – 42.4% (growth in domestic market 61.8%, and in export - 26.2%), manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment - 38.9% (increase in domestic market 22.9%, but rise in export comprise 53.9%).
Compared to the 1st quarter of 2011, manufacturing turnover in the 2nd quarter of 2011, according to seasonally adjusted data, increased by 3.9%, of which in domestic market – by 7.1% and in export – by 1%.
Compared to the corresponding quarter of previous year, manufacturing turnover in the 2nd quarter of 2011 rose by 20.4% (according to calendar adjusted data), of which in domestic market – by 17.7% and in export – by 23.2%.
Compared to the corresponding period of previous year, manufacturing turnover in the 1st half of 2011 grew by 22.3% (according to calendar adjusted data), of which in domestic market – by 15.4% and in export – by 29.6%.
