On manufacturing turnover in October 2009
Compared to September 2009 manufacturing turnover1 at current prices (according to seasonally adjusted data2) in October 2009 has decreased by 0.4%, of which in domestic market - by 1.9% and in export there was a growth of 1.4%, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau.
Most notable reduction of manufacturing was observed in the manufacture of other transport equipment (building of ships and boats, manufacture of railway locomotives and rolling stock) – 38.7%, (reduction in domestic market – 7.1%, and in export – 45.4%), in manufacturing of furniture - 18.1% (decrease in export – 32.1%, but in domestic market increase of 4.4%), in manufacturing of beverages – 12.9% (reduction in domestic market - 14%, in export - 9.7%).
But most significant growth of manufacturing was observed in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products – 40.2% (increase in domestic market 5.9%, in export – 55.6%) and in manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations – 26.8% (rise in domestic market – 26.8%, in export - 26.8%).
Compared to October 2008 industrial turnover in manufacturing (according to working day adjusted data) in October 2009 decreased by 22.4%, of which in domestic market – by 31.9% and in export – by 8.3%.

2 The influence of varying number of working days in the month and factors of seasonal repetition, i.e., seasonal fluctuations of goods produced in selected economic activities, has been eliminated.
