On manufacturing turnover in February 2010

Compared to January 2010 manufacturing turnover1 at current prices (according to seasonally adjusted data2) in February 2010 has increased by 2.3%, of which in export - by 6.8% and in domestic market it reduced by 1.3%, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau.

Most notable turnover growth was observed in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products – 22%, in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products – 11% and in manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations – 8.8%. But the most significant turnover reduction, in turn, was recorded inrepair and installation of machinery and equipment – 38.3% (in domestic market 36.8%, in export – 50.9%), in manufacture of textiles – 7.2% (in export – 13.4% and in domestic market there was an increase of 8.5%).

Compared to February 2009, manufacturing turnover according to working day adjusted3 data in February 2010 decreased by 1.6%, of which in domestic market – by 14.4% and in export there was a rise of 16.5%.
