Glossary of concepts (terms) and their definitions relating statistical concepts.
The ability to determine the general policy of an enterprise.
Control exists if the unit, whether directly or indirectly, owns more than half of the shareholders’ voting power or more than half of the shares.
Direct control – direct activities of the head enterprise with the fixed capital of enterprise / legal unit.
Indirect control – control of the enterprise / legal unit trough other company.
The controlled enterprise is a legal unit controlled by other company (group head).
A conventional dwelling is a room or suite of rooms and its accessories (e.g., lobbies and passageways) in a permanent building or structurally separated part thereof which, by the way it has been built, rebuilt or converted, is intended for habitation by one household throughout the whole year (e.g., house or flat). It must not have separate bathroom and toilet available and accessible solely to the dwelling inhabitants.
Dwelling usually has a definite address.
Includes ploughing, cultivation, fertilizer application.
Each tillage procedure takes place sequentially.

Includes homepages which are related to:
- obligations of population (e.g., declaration of taxes, notification on the change of place of residence);
- rights of population (e.g., social benefits);
- official documents (e.g., identification card, birth certificate);
- public education services (libraries, registration opportunities in kindergartens, schools or other educational institutions);
- public health services (e.g., hospital services).
Does not include public postal, transport, public utilities, as well as news and weather forecast (meteo.lv).
Country of residence
The country, in which the principal dwelling of a person is located, with the person living in it or intending to do so for a period longer than one year.
If there is uncertainty about which dwelling is the principal dwelling, it is identified from the length of time spent there during the year (i.e., at least 185 days during the calendar year).
