Survey on personal safety

If you have received Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) letter, your address was selected with random sampling method, and CSB is asking you to take part in the pilot project – survey on personal safety. The project is an important step in drawing up European Union survey on personal safety. You will be asked about personal safety in family, workplace and public places.

In line with the legislation of the European Union and the Republic of Latvia, CSB has a right to collect and process personal data and is obliged to ensure protection and confidentiality of the data you will provide. The data acquired will be published only in a summarised form and used for analysis of economic and social processes.

If you want to verify identity of your interviewer or find out any other information about the survey:

Face-to-face interviews

Planned time of the interview as well as name, surname and phone number of the interviewer are indicated on the back side of the letter. If you have any questions about interview, please contact your interviewer by calling the phone number indicated. If entrance of your house is locked or has access code, place inform your interviewer.

Upon arrival, interviewer will present a CSB employee identification card with a photo.

Online questionnaires

If you have received CSB letter inviting you to complete electronic questionnaire, visit during the period from 3 September to 16 September 2018.

The online questionnaire shall be filled in by the addressee of the CSB invitational letter, authorising with an internet bank, e-identification card or e-signature. If due to any reason you are not able to complete electronic questionnaire, CSB interviewer will contact you by phone or visit at your place of residence.
