New Statistical Yearbook of Latvia has been released
Central Statistical Bureau has released Statistical Yearbook of Latvia 2018. Annual data collection is created selecting main data available in the CSB database, which is supplemented with high-performance data visualizations in thematic maps and graphs.
Main content of the Statistical Yearbook is depicted in maps and visual aids. Several maps were made up again, for example, number of resident population not only in cities, but also in villages, median of average gross monthly earnings, results of the 13th Saeima election, etc.

The publication contains 14 thematic chapters: geographical characteristics, economy and finance, entrepreneurship, population, labour market, health care, education and culture, social conditions, industry, construction and trade, transport and tourism, foreign trade, agriculture, energy, science, information and communication technologies.
In the preparation of the yearbook statistical data available to the CSB and other institutions, surveys carried out by the CSB, as well as data from state registers and other information systems were used.
The CSB releases Statistical Yearbook of Latvia for 71st time already since 1921. The new publication reflects data on 2017 compared to previous years. In means of content, Statistical Yearbook of Latvia in Latvian and English is the most extensive of all statistical publications released by the CSB. From the middle of January it can be viewed and purchased at the Information Centre of the CSB, Lāčplēša Street 1.
