Explanations

According to survey methodology, as vacancy a free employment position is being regarded for which no applicant has been chosen, and active measures are being taken by employer to find a suitable candidate, and is ready to fill the vacancy immediately or within the following 3 months. The share of vacancies is being calculated as percentage, dividing the number of vacancies by the total number of employment positions (occupied + free positions).

Public sector comprises state and municipal institutions and commercial enterprises, as well as commercial enterprises with state or municipal capital share 50% and more, establishments, societies and foundations, and their commercial enterprises. The information in this material was presented without establishments, societies and foundations, and their commercial enterprises.

Information by regions, cities, and districts was compiled by location of commercial enterprise, individual entrepreneur, institution, office of establishment, society or foundation.

Information by forms of activity was compiled by main activity form of commercial enterprise, individual entrepreneur, institution, office of establishment.

Information on share of vacancies in European countries is available in the home page of Statistical Bureau of European Union (EUROSTAT) http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu, section Population and social conditions / Labour market / Job vacancy statistics.
