Data Collection

Survey Method and Source Data

The data are acquired by conducting a full-scope survey of budgetary institutions and sample survey of merchants, as well as using information of the State Revenue Service.
The data are compiled from annual reports about movement of investment: questionnaires 1-investment, 2- investment, 1-investment (short), 2-investment (short).
Short survey questionnaires are used in two reference years out of three.

Statistical Population

Target population is formed by all budgetary institutions; all economically active merchants; peasant/fisherman farms with the main activity other than agriculture, forestry or fishery (NACE Rev. 2. 01, 02, 03).

Data Revision

Provisional data is published on day 330 after the end of the reporting period. Final results – on day 550 after the end of the reporting period.

Calculation data on non-financial investment in cities under state jurisdiction by NACE Rev. 2 sections by main activity and place of office or main activity are published: provisional - on 360th day, final - on 550th day after the end of reference period.

Data on 2008-2012 are adjusted as non-financial investment calculation is changing: excluding transfer among fixed assets groups from total non-financial investment volume and determining order on how construction production is included in composition of non-financial investment. In the result it is possible to express structure of non-financial investment both by sectors and by kind of investment more precisely.

Quality

Sampling error is the difference from the assessment of the true population value. If the true population value is not known, it is not possible to calculate the sampling error directly. Therefore, the size of sampling error is characterized by the margin of error and confidence interval (with confidence level 95%). Margin of error interpretation - sampling error with the 95% confidence level does not exceed the specified margin of error. For the sake of clarity the margin of error is expressed as percent of the assessment and is called the relative margin of error.

Quality reports are prepared in accordance with the EU requirements in specific statistical domain.

They provide detailed information on the data life cycle and data quality. Quality reports are available here.
