In September retail trade turnover decreased by 0.7%

Data of the Central Statistical Bureau show that compared to August the total retail trade turnover in September 2015 decreased by 0.7%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Retail trade in food products declined by 0.6%, and turnover of non-food products – by 0.8%.

Compared to August, the total retail trade turnover at current prices, not taking into account seasonality, in September dropped by 6.5%. A year ago – in September 2014, compared to August 2014 – turnover fell by 4.3%.

Compared to September 2014, the total retail trade turnover in September 2015 increased by 4.3%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Rise in food commodity group accounted for 2.7%. In non-food commodity group there was an increase of 5.3%, of which in retail sale of automotive fuel there was a decrease of 0.6%.

Total retail trade turnover at current prices decreased by 0.5% (not taking into account the calendar influence).

During nine months of this year, as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, retail trade turnover in total has grown by 5.6%, according to calendar adjusted data. Retail trade in food products increased by 2.7%, retail trade of non-food products – by 7.6%.
