Retail trade turnover in October 2011

Compared to September, total retail trade turnover (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices) in October 2011 decreased by 2.9%, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau. Retail trade of non-food products declined by 4.4%, whereas retail trade of food products did not change.

Compared to October 2010, total retail trade turnover in October 2011 has increased by 4.9% according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. The increase in food commodity group comprises 2.6%. In its turn, retail trade in non-food products has grown by 6%. Excluding retail sale of automotive fuel, the volume growth in this commodity group constitutes 10.6%.
