Retail trade turnover in June 2010

Compared to May, total retail trade turnover (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices) in June of this year did not change, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau. Retail trade of food products has slightly decreased - by 0.7%, but retail trade of non-food products has increased by 0.4%.

Compared to June 2009 total retail trade turnover in June of this year has decreased by 3.1%, according to working (trade) day adjusted data, calculating at constant prices. Most notable volume decrease was recorded in food product group – by 7%. Retail trade of non-food products reduced only by 0.8 %.

Compared to the 1st quarter retail trade turnover in the 2nd quarter of 2010 has grown by 1.7%, according to seasonally adjusted data (at constant prices), of which in enterprises selling mainly non-food products by 3.4%, but in enterprises selling mainly food products retail trade diminished by 1.4%.

Compared to the 2nd quarter of 2009, retail trade turnover reduction comprised 6%, according to working (trade) day adjusted data. Retail trade of food products decreased by 8.9%. But retail trade of non-food products, in turn, diminished by 4.4%.
