Retail trade turnover in July 2012

Compared to June, the total retail trade turnover (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices) in July 2012 increased by 2.7%, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau. Retail trade of food products grew by 1.8%, whereas of non-food products – by 3.1%.

As compared to the previous month, the total retail trade turnover at current prices, not taking into account seasonality, in July this year increased by 3.3%.

Compared to July 2011, the total retail trade turnover in July 2012 rose by 10.3%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Growth in food commodity group comprised 3.4%. In its turn, retail trade in non-food products grew by 13.8%, of which retail sale of automotive fuel – by 15.3%.

Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the total retail trade turnover at current prices increased by 9% (not taking into account the calendar influence).
