On retail trade turnover in January 2011

Compared to December 2010, total retail trade turnover (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices) in January 2011 has reduced by 1.7%, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau. Mainly because of the automotive fuel retail trade reduction (by 12.5%) the retail trade of non- food products has diminished by 3%. Retail trade turnover in enterprises selling mainly food products has grown by 1%.

Compared to January 2010, total retail trade turnover in January of this year, according to calendar1 adjusted data, calculating at constant prices, has increased by 0.1%. More notable growth still was recorded in non-food product group – of 1.4%. Excluding volume of automotive fuel the retail trade of non-food products has grown by 10.2%. Retail trade of food products, in turn, has reduced by 2.1 %.
