Retail trade turnover in February 2013

Data of Central Statistical Bureau show that, compared to January 2013, total retail trade turnover in February 2013 reduced by 1.2%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Retail trade in food products decreased by 0.3%, whereas retail sale of non-food products – by 1.7%.

In comparison with January 2013, total retail trade turnover at current prices, not considering the seasonality, in February 2013 dropped by 6.7%. (in February 2012 fall comprised 4.3%, as compared to January 2012).

Compared to February 2012, total retail trade turnover in February of this year increased by 5.7%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices.Rise in food commodity group comprises 4.0%,while retail trade in non-food products increased by 6.7%, of which retail sale of automotive fuel - by 5.6 %.

In comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year, total retail trade turnover at current prices rose by 5.0% (not taking into account the calendar influence).
