Retail trade turnover in February 2012

Data of the Central Statistical Bureau show that, compared to January, total retail trade turnover (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices) in February 2012 reduced by 2.2%. Retail trade in non-food products has decreased by 3.5%, while retail trade in food products has grown by 0.8%.

In comparison with the month before, total retail trade turnover at current prices, not considering the seasonality, in February of this year has diminished by 3.8%.

Compared to February 2011, total retail trade turnover in February 2012 has increased by 10%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Rise in food commodity group comprises 4.6%. Whereas retail trade in non-food products has grown by 12.7%, and excluding retail sale of automotive fuel, the volume growth in this commodity group constitutes 16.6%.

In comparison with the corresponding month of the previous year, total retail trade turnover at current prices, considering the calendar influence, has increased by 12.7%.
