Retail trade turnover in February 2010

Compared to January, total retail trade turnover (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices) in February of this year reduced by 0.9%, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau. Retail trade turnover in enterprises selling mainly food products decreased by 0.2%. In retail trade enterprises selling mainly non-food products it decreased by 1.3%.

Compared to February 2009, in February of this year total retail trade turnover has diminished by 13.3%, according to working (trade) day adjusted data (at constant prices). Most notable decrease in February was recorded in non-food product group – by 13.6%. Retail trade of food products reduced by 12.7%.
