Compared to 2010 retail trade turnover at constant prices in 2011 increased by 4.6%, of which retail trade in food products – by 1.3% and retail trade in non-food products– by 6.2%, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau.
Compared to November, the total retail trade turnover in December 2011 decreased by 2%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Retail trade in food products decreased by 1% and in non-food products - by 2.5%.
As compared to November, the total retail trade turnover at current prices in December increased by 16.4% (not taking into account seasonality). In November and December 2010, the turnover increase rate was slightly higher – 18.9%.

Compared to December 2010, the total retail trade turnover in December 2011 increased by 7.1% according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. The increase in food commodity group comprised 5.9%. In its turn, retail trade in non-food products grew by 7.7%. Excluding retail sale of automotive fuel, the volume growth in this commodity group constituted 13.9%.
Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the total retail trade turnover at current prices (not taking into account influence of calendar days) grew by 9.5%.

Compared to the 3rd quarter, retail trade turnover inthe 4th quarter of 2011 decreased by 0.9%, according to seasonally adjusted data (at constant prices); of which retail trade in non-food products diminished by 1.3%, whereas retail trade in food products did not change.
As compared to the 4th quarter of 2010, the turnover grew by 6.7%, according to calendar adjusted data. Retail trade in food products increased by 4.6%, whereas in non-food products by 7.7%.
