Retail trade turnover in April 2011

Compared to March, total retail trade turnover in April 2011 has decreased by 1%, according to seasonally adjusted data, calculating at constant prices.Retail trade of food products has decreased by 0.2%, but retail trade of non-food products has diminished by 1.4%, but excluding retail trade of automotive fuel an increase of 0.4% can be observed.

In the same time, in comparison with the March, total retail trade turnover (considering seasonality and price influence) in April has grown by 0.7%, calculating at current prices.

Compared to April 2010, total retail trade turnover in April 2011 has reduced by 1.1%, according to calendari adjusted data (calculating at constant prices). Retail trade of automotive fuel has influenced the volume reduction by 15.1%.Volume decrease (1.9%) was observed also in food commodity group, but retail trade of non-food products (excluding automotive fuel) has grown by 4.8%.

In comparison with the corresponding period of previous year, retail trade turnover at current prices (not considering influence of calendar days and prices) has risen by 3.9%.
