Price and wage changes in 2005 and in the th quarter of 2005

On the basis of the results of price registration and calculations of wage statistics, the Central Statistical Bureau releases the following information:Compared with 2004, the average yearly consumer prices in 2005 increased by 6.7% and the average monthly net wage in the country in this period rose by 17.0%. The increase in real wage4 was 9.7%.

Net wage in the public sector1) increased by 17.6% (16.7% in the budget-financed institutions and 20.0% in commercial companies with central or local government capital participation 50% and over (hereafter central or local government commercial companies).

Compared with 2004, the average monthly net wage in the private sector in 2005 increased by 17.1%.

The increases in the gross wage were 16.5% in the country as a whole, 17.2% in the public sector, 16.4% in the budget-financed institutions, 19.5% in central or local government commercial companies and 16.5% in the private sector.

Compared with the 4th quarter of 2004, consumer prices in the 4th quarter of 2005 rose by 7.3% and the average monthly net wage in the country increased by 17.3% (17.3% in the public sector, 16.3% in the budget-financed institutions and 19.6% in central and local government commercial companies).

Compared with the 4th quarter of 2004, the average monthly net wage in the private sector in the 4th quarter of 2005 increased by 18.2%.
