In October producer prices in industry have not changed, while during year grown by 1.2%

Compared to September, the overall level of producer prices in Latvian industry in October 2013 has not changed, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia. The producer prices of products sold at the domestic market have declined by 0.2%, while prices of exported products have grown by 0.2%. The highest price growth was observed in manufacture of wood and of products of wood, except furniture. Price fall in printing and reproduction of recorded media, manufacture of food products, as well as manufacture of chemicals and chemical products has applied the greatest downward pressure.

Compared to October 2012, the overall level of producer prices in Latvian industry in October 2013 increased by 1.2%. The producer prices of goods sold at the domestic market have risen by 0.3%, whereas prices of exported products have increased by 2.2%. The most notable price rises were recorded in manufacture of wood and of products of wood, except furniture, as well as in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, and manufacture of food products. Reduction in prices of manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products as well as waste collection, treatment and disposal activities; materials recovery had the greatest downward impact on the producer prices.
