On manufacturing turnover in September 2012

Data of the Central Statistical Bureau show that, compared to August 2012, manufacturing turnover1, according to seasonally adjusted data at current prices, in September 2012 increased by 0.2%, of which by 2% in exports, while in domestic market there was a reduction of 2%. Most notable rise was recorded in manufacture of base metals – of 24.7% (increase in both domestic market and exports), in manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations – of 13.6% (growth in exports, while decrease in domestic market), and in manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers – of 8.9% (increase of 16.4% in domestic market and of 8.1% in exports).

Compared to September 2011, manufacturing turnover in September 2012, according to calendar adjusted data, increased by 13.4%, of which in domestic market by 3.2% and by 24% in exports. Most significant rise was observed in manufacture of basic metals - 2.3 times, that was due to the increase in exports, in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products – of 75.2% (of 69.9% in domestic market and of 77.3% in exports), in manufacture of electrical equipment – of 37% (of 19.7% in domestic market and of 43.7% in exports).

Compared to the 2nd quarter of 2012, manufacturing turnover in the 3rd quarter of 2012, according to seasonally adjusted data, increased by 5.1%, of which by 2.7% in domestic market and by 7.2% in exports.

Compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, manufacturing turnover in the 3rd quarter of 2012, according to calendar adjusted data, rose by 13%, of which in domestic market by 3.5% and in exports - by 23.6%.

Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, manufacturing turnover in nine months of 2012, according to calendar adjusted data,grew by 12.5%, of which in domestic market by 6.5% and by 18.5% in exports.
