On manufacturing turnover in October 2011

Compared to September 2011, manufacturing turnover according to seasonally adjusted data in October 2011 has increased by 0.3%, of which in export - by 1% and in domestic market it reduced by 0.4%, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau.

The most notable growth was recorded in manufacture of other transport equipment - of 30.8% (decrease in domestic market, but rise in export), in manufacture of basic metals – of 18.6% (increase in both domestic market and export), and in repair and installation of machinery and equipment – of 11.3% (growth in domestic market, but drop in export). Whereas the most notable decrease was observed in manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers – of 21.2% (reduction in both domestic market and export), in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products – of 18.9% (drop in both domestic market and export), and in other manufacturing – of 14.2% (decrease in both domestic market and export).

Compared to October 2010, manufacturing turnover1 at current prices (according to calendar adjusted data) in October 2011 has increased by 10.4%, of which in domestic market - by 4.2%, and in export -by 17.4%. The rise in manufacturing turnover was mainly due to the growth in divisions of manufacture of fabricated metal products and manufacture of machinery and equipment.

The rise in manufacture of machinery and equipment comprised 49.2% (29.9% in domestic market, and 60% in export), in manufacture of electrical equipment – 39.1% (22.6% in domestic market and 49.4% in export), and in manufacture of fabricated metal products – 32.1% (22.8% in domestic market and 41.8% in export).

Significant turnover growth since the beginning of the year was still recorded in both largest manufacturing divisions - manufacture of food products and wood-processing.
