Compared to January 2011, manufacturing turnover1 at current prices (according to seasonally adjusted data) in February 2011 reducedby 1%, of which in export - by 1.9%, but in domestic market it remained at the level of previous month, according to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau.
The most notable turnover reduction was recorded in the manufacture of other transport equipment (building of ships and boats, manufacture of railway locomotives and rolling stock) – 51.9%, in manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations – 27.2%, and in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products - 10.6%.But most significant growth, in turn, was observed in manufacture of rubber and plastic products – 16.2%, in manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. – 9.6%, and in manufacture of wearing apparel – by 9.5%.
Compared to February 2010, manufacturing turnover in February 2011, according to calendar adjusted2 data, has increased by 23.6%, of which in domestic market – by 11.9% and in export – by 35.6%.
