On manufacturing turnover in December 2012

Data of the Central Statistical Bureau show that, compared to 2011, manufacturing turnover1 at current prices in 2012 increasedby 11.9%, of which in domestic market by 5.7% and in export - by 18.2%.

The most notable rise among all manufacturing sectors was recorded in repair and installation of machinery and equipment (repair and maintenance of ships and boats, repair of fabricated metal products, machinery and equipment, installation of industrial machinery and equipment) – of 59.9% (increase in both domestic market and export), in manufacture of electrical equipment - of 36.7% (reduction of 4.8% in domestic market and growth of 56.7% in export), and in manufacture of basic metals – of 32.9% (drop in domestic market and increase in export). In comparison with the year before, turnover rise in 2012 was observed in the most significant manufacturing sectors: wood processing and manufacture of food products – of 7.6% and 3.5%, respectively. Turnover growth in wood processing was observed in both domestic market and export, whereas increase in manufacture of food products was mainly influenced by export.

Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2012, manufacturing turnover in the 4th quarter of 2012 decreased by 0.3% (according to seasonally adjusted data), of which in domestic market by 0.3% and by 0.2% in export.

In comparison with the corresponding quarter of the previous year,manufacturing turnover in the 4th quarter of 2012 rose by 10.1% (according to calendar adjusted data), of which in domestic market by 3.3% and in export – by 17.0%.

As compared to the November 2012, manufacturing turnover in December 2012 (according to seasonally adjusted data)grew by 1.7%, of which in domestic market by 0.6% and by 2.8% in export.

Compared to the December 2011, manufacturing turnover in December 2012 increased by 15.4% (according to calendar adjusted data), of which in domestic market by 8.2% and in export – by 23.2%.
