According to the data of the Central Statistical Bureau, manufacturing turnover1 (according to seasonally adjusted data at current prices) in April 2012, as compared to March 2012, decreased by 1.3%, of which in domestic market - by 0.2% and in export - by 2.2%. Most notable reduction was recorded in manufacture of other transport equipment (building of ships and boats, manufacture of railway locomotives and rolling stock) - of 67.3% (rise in domestic market, whereas reduction in export), in manufacture of beverages - of 13% (decrease of 13.9% in domestic market and of 10.5% in export), in manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations – of 12.8% (increase in domestic market, but decrease in export). Whereas most significant growth was observed in manufacture of basic metals – of 47.5% (rise in both domestic market and export), in manufacture of machinery and equipment – of 5.7% (24.5% increase in domestic market and 2.5% drop in export), in manufacture of rubber and plastic products - of 4.9% (decrease of 2.4% in domestic market and 10.7% rise in export).
Compared to April 2011, manufacturing turnover in April 2012, according to calendar adjusted data, increased by 11.6%, of which in domestic market by 8.1% and in export – by 14.8%.
