In October 2010 industrial production output1 (at current prices) comprised LVL 384.9 mln, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau.

Compared to September 2010 industrial production volume in October 2010 has increased by 1.2%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing by 1.5%, in mining and quarrying by 1.9%, but in electricity and gas supply there was a decrease of 0.6%.
Compared to October of previous year, industrial production output in October 2010 at constant has grown by 21.1%, according to working day adjusted data. Of which in manufacturing - by 25%, in mining and quarrying – by 18.3%, and in electricity and gas supply - by 3.8%.
Most notable growth of industrial production output in manufacturing was recorded in manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers – two times, in manufacture of other transport equipment (building of ships and boats, manufacture of railway locomotives and rolling stock) – by 68.9%, in manufacture of electrical equipment – by 57.2%.

1 Data are compiled on economically active enterprises, which in industrial production employ 20 and more persons, or in which industrial turnover previous year exceeded LVL 300 thsd.
Industrial production volume in accordance with the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities NACE 2.rev. includes Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, except steam and air conditioning supply.
