In November 2011 industrial production output1 (at current prices) comprised LVL 419.3 million, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau.

Industrial production volume index (2005=100)

In comparison with October 2011, industrial production output in November 2011 (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices) has increased by 0.9%, of which in manufacturing – by 3.2%, in mining and quarrying – by 0.8% and in electricity and gas supply there was a reduction of 1.6%.

Compared to November a year before, industrial production output in November 2011 (according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices) has grown by 8.5%. Of which in mining and quarrying – by 18.2%, in manufacturing - by 12.1%, but in electricity and gas supply there was a decrease of 3%. The increase in manufacturing mainly was influenced by two largest sub-sectors - woodprocessing and metalworking.

The most notable growth of industrial production in manufacturing was observed in manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers – of 78.9%, in manufacture of electrical equipment – of 51.1%, and in manufacture of fabricated metal products – 36.5%. But most significant reduction, in turn, was recorded in manufacture of basic metals – of 20.1%, in printing and reproduction of recorded media - of 9.4%, and in manufacture of paper and paper products - of 8.6%.
