Industrial production output in March 2011

In March 2011 industrial production output1 (at current prices) comprised LVL 401.2 million, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau.

Compared to February 2011 industrial production volume in March 2011 has grown by 1.4%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing - by 3.7%, in mining and quarrying – by 1.7%, and in electricity and gas supply - by 0.7%.

Compared to March of previous year, industrial production output in March 2011 at constant prices has increased by 9.8%, according to calendar adjusted data. Of which in manufacturing – by 12.5%, in electricity and gas supply - by 8.8%, but in mining and quarrying there was a decrease of 23.6%.

In comparison with 4th quarter of 2010, industrial production output in the 1st quarter of 2011 decreased by 2%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing – by 3.1%, in mining and quarrying – by 22.4%, but in electricity and gas supply there was an increase of 5.6%.

Compared to corresponding quarter of previous year, in 1st quarter of 2011 industrial production output has risen by 9%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing – by 12.8%, in electricity and gas supply - by 4.2%, but in mining and quarrying there was a decrease of 18.5%.

Industrial production volume in accordance with the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities NACE 2.rev. includes Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, except steam and air conditioning supply.
