Industrial production output in June 2011

In June industrial production output1 (at current prices) comprised LVL 400.2 million, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau.

Industrial production volume index (2005=100)

Compared to May 2011, industrial production volume in June 2011 has grown by 4.1%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in mining and quarrying – by 11.4%, in manufacturing - by 3.8%, and in electricity and gas supply - by 1.4%.

Compared to June of previous year, industrial production output in June 2011 at constant prices has increased by 15.2%, according to calendar adjusted data. Of which in mining and quarrying – by 23.8%, in manufacturing - by 17.5%, and in electricity and gas supply - by 5.2%.

In comparison with the 1st quarter of 2011, industrial production output in the 2nd quarter of 2011 increased by 5.3%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in mining and quarrying – by 29%, in manufacturing – by 7.6%, but in electricity and gas supply there was a decrease of 2.1%.

Compared to corresponding quarter of previous year, industrial production output in the 2nd quarter of 2011 has risen by 13%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing – by 15.5%, in mining and quarrying - by 5.1%, in electricity and gas supply - by 6%.

1 Data are compiled on economically active enterprises, which in industrial production employ 20 and more persons, or in which industrial turnover previous year exceeded LVL 300 thousand.
Industrial production volume in accordance with the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities NACE Rev. 2 includes mining and quarrying, manufacturing and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, except steam and air conditioning supply.
