Industrial production output in June 2010

In June 2010 industrial production output1 (at current prices) comprised LVL 340.4 mln, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau.

Compared to May 2010 industrial production volume in June 2010 has reduced by 0.1%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in electricity and gas supply - by 1.9%, but in manufacturing there was an increase of 0.2% and in mining and quarrying – of 1.9%.

Compared to June of previous year industrial production output in June 2010 at constant has grown by 13.3%, according to working day adjusted data. Of which in manufacturing - by 13.8%, in mining and quarrying – by 30.1%, but in electricity and gas supply - by 5.9%.

In comparison with 1st quarter of 2010 industrial production output in the 2nd quarter of 2010 increased by 6%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing – by 7.9%, in mining and quarrying – by 4.4%, but in electricity and gas supply there was a decrease of 2.3%.

Compared to corresponding quarter of previous year, in 2nd quarter of 2010 industrial production output has grown by 12.1%, according to working day adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing– by 12%, in mining and quarrying - by 12.6%, in electricity and gas supply - by 12.7%.

1 Data are compiled on economically active enterprises, which in industrial production employ 20 and more persons, or in which industrial turnover previous year exceeded LVL 300 thsd.
Industrial production volume in accordance with the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities NACE 2.rev. includes Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, except steam and air conditioning supply.

2 The influence of varying number of working days in the month and factors of seasonal repetition, i.e., seasonal fluctuations of goods produced in selected economic activities, has been eliminated.
