Industrial production output in June 2007

Compared to June of the previous year, industrial production output in june 2007 rose 1.2% to seasonally adjusted data (seasonal and working day influence is taken into account) of the Central Statistical Bureau. There was an increase of 6.5% in electricity, gas and water, but a decrease of 0.2% in manufacturing and 5.2% in mining and quarrying.

Compared to May 2007, industrial production output in June 2007 decreased by 1% according to seasonally adjusted data of the Central Statistical Bureau. Of which in mining and quarrying there was a decrease of 8.5%, in electricity, gas and water supply of 4.3%, but in manufacturing the volume increased by 0.3%.

Compared to 1st quarter of 2007, industrial production output in second quarter of 2007 increased by1.3% according to seasonally adjusted data. Of which in mining and quarrying by 2.5%, in electricity, gas and water supply by 7.3%, but in manufacturing there was a decrease of 0.5%.

Compared to first six months of the previous year, industrial production output in 1st half of 2007 grew by1%. Of which in mining and quarrying there was an increase of 20.6%, in manufacturing of 1.1%, but electricity, gas and water supply decreased by 0.2%.

The highest increase was in following fields: in manufacturing of rubber and plastic products of 25.3%, in manufacturing of electrical machinery and equipment of 14.9%, in manufacturing of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment of 14.4%, in manufacturing of non-metallic mineral products of 12.9%, in manufacturing of paper and paper articles of 7.2%, in manufacturing of chemicals, chemical products and man-made fibres of 6.3%, in manufacturing of textiles of 4.2%, in manufacturing of basic metals of 3,9%, in manufacturing of food products and beverages of 3.1%.

The industrial production output decreased in manufacture of radio, television and communication equipment and apparatus – by 18.3%, in manufacture of wood and products of wood – by 8.9%, in manufacturing of other transport equipment (repairing and construction of ships and boats) – by 7.9%, in manufacture of furniture – by 2.8%, in publishing, printing and reproduction of recorded media – by 1.3%, in manufacturing of wearing apparel; processing and colouring of furs – by 0.1%.
