In August 2010 industrial production output1 (at current prices) comprised LVL 359.1 mln, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau.

Compared to July 2010 industrial production volume in August 2010 grew by 3.5%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing – by 2.6%, in electricity and gas supply - by 8.5%, but in mining and quarrying there was a decrease of 0.4%.
Compared to August of previous year industrial production output in August 2010 at constant has grown by 20.5%, according to working day adjusted data. Of which in manufacturing - by 20.4%, in mining and quarrying – by 11.2%, but in electricity and gas supply - by 23.8%.
Most notable industrial production increase in manufacturing was recorded in manufacture of electrical equipment – 76.7%, in manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations – 56%, in manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment – 37% and in manufacture of textiles - 34.8%.

Industrial production volume in accordance with the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities NACE 2.rev. includes Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, except steam and air conditioning supply.
