In April 2011 industrial production output1 (at current prices) comprised LVL 400.5 million, according to the data of Central Statistical Bureau.

Compared to March 2011, industrial production volume in April 2011 grew by 3.4%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices. Of which in manufacturing – by 4.4%, in mining and quarrying – by 5.9%, but in electricity and gas supply there was a decrease of 1.2%.
Compared to April of previous year, industrial production output in April 2011 at constant prices has increased by 13.7%, according to calendar adjusted data. Of which in manufacturing – by 17%, in electricity and gas supply - by 8.7%, but in mining and quarrying there was a decrease of 16.5%. The most notable growth of industrial production was observed in manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers – 76.5%, in manufacture of electrical equipment – 58.1%, and in manufacture of wearing apparel – 54.2%.But most significant reduction, in turn, was recorded in manufacture of beverages – 9.5% and repair and installation of machinery and equipment – 6.8%.

Industrial production volume in accordance with the Statistical Classification of Economic Activities NACE 2.rev. includes Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, except steam and air conditioning supply.
