GDP flash estimate: in the 1st quarter increase of 2.8%
In the 1st quarter of 2014, compared to the 1st quarter of 2013, gross domestic product (GDP) value (seasonally unadjusted data) has increased by 2.8%, according to flash estimate of the CSB. The GDP was affected by the value increase in retail trade (of 2.6%) and other services (of 3%). Increase in construction comprised 25%. Growth in manufacturing constituted 1%, but in total industry experienced fall of 2%.
According to seasonally adjusted data in the 1st quarter of 2014, compared to the 4th quarter of 2013, GDP has grown by 0.7%.
More precise and extended rate and value of the GDP in the first quarter of this year will be available in the press release of June 9.
