Foreign trade of Latvia in November 2010

According to provisional data of the Central Statistical Bureau, in November 2010 the total foreign trade turnover at current prices comprised LVL 992.6 mln – 0.6% or LVL 5.8 mln more than a month before and 34.2% or LVL 253.1 mln more than in November 2009.

In January-November 2010 foreign trade turnover value reached LVL 9437.8 mln –24.3% or LVL 1846.9 mln more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. Of which export value reached LVL 4230.2 mln, a growth of 28.8% or LVL 944.7 mln, but import value comprised LVL 5207.6 mln –21.0% or LVL 902.2 mln more than a year before.

In November 2010 the most significant share (71.4%) in Latvia’s export had export to the countries of the European Union, followed by export to CIS countries – 16.6%. Main export partners were Lithuania (18.1% of total export), Estonia (12.2%), Russia (11.6%), Germany (8.9%) and Poland (5.7%).

In November 2010 the most significant share (73.7%) in Latvia’s import had import from the countries of the European Union, followed by import from CIS countries – 17.2%. Main import partners were Lithuania (14.4% of total import), Germany (12.9%), Russia (11.9%), Poland (7.4%) and Estonia (6.8%).
