In February retail trade turnover grew by 0.1%
Data compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that compared to January, in February 2016 the total retail trade turnover increased by 0.1%. Compared to February 2015, turnover has grown by 2.3 %.
Compared to January, the total retail trade turnover in February 2016 grew by 0.1 % (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices). Retail trade in food products rose by 2.5 %, whereas turnover of non-food products decreased by 1.0 %.
Compared to January, the most significant growth in retail trade turnover was recorded in retail sale of cultural and recreation goods (of 8.5 %), and in retail sale of information and communication equipment (of 4.1%).
Compared to January, the total retail trade turnover at current prices, not taking into account seasonality, in February decreased by 3.5 %. A year before - in February 2015, compared to January 2015 turnover dropped by 3.7 %.

Compared to February 2015, the total retail trade turnover in February 2016 grew by 2.3 % (according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices). Retail trade in food products went up by 3.7 %, whereas turnover of non-food products increased by 1.4 %.
In February 2016 as compared to February 2015, the most significant turnover growth was recorded in retail sale of information and communication equipment (of 22.5%), in retail sale of cultural and recreation goods (of 16.4 %), in retail sale of pharmaceutical and medical goods (of 11.1 %), as well as in retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods (of 8.5%).
The total retail trade turnover at current prices rose by 0.9 % (not taking into account the calendar influence).
