In February annual growth in retail trade comprised 2%

Data of Central Statistical Bureau show that, compared to January, total retail trade turnoverin February 2014 rose by 0.1%, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices.

In comparison with January, total retail trade turnover at current prices, not considering the seasonality, in February decreased by 6.5%. A year ago - in February 2013, compared to January 2013 - turnover reduced by 6.0%.

Compared to February 2013, total retail trade turnover in February 2014 rose by 2.0%, according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices. Rise in food commodity group comprised 2.0%. In non-food commodity group increase comprised 1.9%, of which in retail sale of automotive fuel – 1.8%. Most rapid turnover increase in February was observed in retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods - 15.1%, as well as in retail sale of hardware, paints and glass – 7.9%.

In comparison with February of last year, total retail trade turnover at current prices rose by 1.4% (not taking into account the calendar influence).
