Domestic trade in September 2007

Compared to August, in September of this year, according to seasonally adjusted data (the influence of season and number of working days has been taken into account), can be observed increase of retail trade turnover by 0.3%, according to data of the Central Statistical Bureau. Turnover in non-specialised stores, selling mainly food; in specialised stores selling mainly food, beverages and tobacco; as well as in retail trade enterprises selling mainly pharmaceutical and medical goods, cosmetics and toiletry has decreased.

Compared to September 2006, the turnover has grown by 17.5% (data adjusted by number of working days).

But in comparison with the corresponding period of 2006, retail turnover in January – September of 2007 has increased by 23.9% (data adjusted by number of working days).

Compared to previous month, in September 2007 retail trade turnover of enterprises the main activity of which is the sale of motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts thereof decreased by 4.7%, according to seasonally adjusted data, but, compared to September of the previous year (data adjusted by number of working days), there was an increase of 2%.

Compared to the same period of 2006, the retail trade turnover of enterprises the main activity of which is the sale of motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts thereof in the January - September of 2007 rose by 29.3% (data adjusted by number of working days).
