Domestic trade in September 2006

The data of Central Statistical Bureau show that in September 2006, in comparison with August, the turnover of retail trade enterprises(calculated in comparable prices) has decreased by 4.8%, but, compared to September 2005, it has increased by 19.0%.

In January-September of 2006, in comparison with January-September 2005, the turnover of retail trade enterprises has increased by 18.1%.

Compared to August 2006, retail trade turnover of enterprises, the main activity of which is the sale of motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts and accessories thereof increased in September 2006 by 14.9%, but compared to September of the previous year, it has increased by 93.6%, of which the increase in the sales turnover of motor vehicles was 125.5%.

In January-September 2006, compared to January-September 2005, sales turnover of motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts and accessories thereof increased by 73.5%.

The turnover of automotive fuel retail sale enterprises in September of this year, in comparison with September 2005, increased by 8.2% in comparable prices. In January-September 2006, compared to the corresponding period of 2005, the retail trade turnover of enterprises selling automotive fuel increased by 19.5%.

The turnover of catering enterprises in September 2006, in comparison with August 2006 (in comparable prices), has decreased by 6.4%, and, in comparison with the corresponding period of 2005, it has increased by 16.5%.
