Domestic trade in March 2006

The data of Central Statistical Bureau show that in March of this year, in comparison with February, the turnover of retail trade enterprises (calculated in comparable prices) increased by 13.9% but compared to March 2005, it has increased by 18.5%.

In January-March of 2006, in comparison with January-March 2005, the turnover of retail trade enterprises has increased by 15.8%.

Compared to February 2006, retail trade turnover of enterprises, the main activity of which is the sale of motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts and accessories thereof increased in March 2006, by 27.7% but compared to March of the previous year, it has increased by 94.5%, of which the increase in the sales turnover of motor vehicles was 118.4%.

In January-March 2006, compared to January-March 2005, sales turnover of motor vehicles, motorcycles and parts and accessories thereof increased by 81.4%; sales turnover of motor vehicles rose by 80.8%.

Compared to March of this year, in comparison with March 2005, the turnover of retail trade enterprises selling automotive fuel rose by 46.1%.

In January-March 2006, compared to the corresponding period of 2005, the retail trade turnover of enterprises selling automotive fuel increased by 41.6%.

The turnover of catering enterprises in March of this year, in comparison with March 2005, calculated in comparable prices, has grown by 9.2%, but in January-March 2006, in comparison with the corresponding period of 2005, the turnover of catering enterprises has increased by 9.9%.
