On changes in publication of producer price index in indystry
Starting with press release on producer price changes in industry in January 2009, publication date of which has been adjourned from February 20 to February 26, production of producer price index will be carried out exclusively according to new version of statistical classification NACE rev. 2 as it is established by the Regulation (EC) No 1893/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 December 2006. Together with the press release, producer price indices in industry according to classification NACE rev. 2 for 2005 – 2008 in breakdown by months will be available in statistical database. It must be noted that along with introduction of new classification base period of index also changes which in the future will be 2005.
In its turn, producer price indices for period until 2008 (inclusive) according to NACE rev. 1 will be available in the CSB database as it was up to now.
Main differences in producer price indices in industry, which are calculated according to NACE rev. 1 and NACE rev. 2, is different scope of economic activities and structure. Major changes regarding total price index in industry is withdrawal of products on publishing from industry and distribution of activities among different groupings.
