In 2015, retail trade turnover increased by 4.9 %

Calendar adjusted data (at constant prices) compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to 2014, in 2015 retail trade turnover rose by 4.9 %. Retail trade in food products grew by 2.8 %, and turnover of non-food products – by 6.3 %.

Compared to November, in December 2015 total retail trade turnover increased by 0.8 % (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices). Retail trade in food products grew by 0.5 %, and turnover of non-food products – by 1.1 %.

Compared to November, in October total retail trade turnover (at current prices) increased by 18.9 %, not taking into account seasonality. A year ago – in December 2014, compared to November, turnover grew by 14.4 %.

Compared to December 2014, in December 2015 total retail trade turnover grew by 2.0 % (according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices). Rise in food commodity group accounted for 3.0 %. In non-food commodity group there was a 1.3 % increase, of which 4.6 % reduction in retail sale of automotive fuel.

Total retail trade turnover, excluding sales of automotive fuel, grew by 3.1 %.

Total retail trade turnover at current prices rose by 1.1 % (not taking into account the calendar influence).
