In the 1st quarter of 2016, Gross Domestic Product reduced slightly
Flash estimate of the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) shows that, compared to the 4th quarter of 2015, in the 1st quarter of 2016 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) value dropped slightly – by 0.1 %, according to seasonally adjusted data.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2015, in the 1st quarter of 2016, seasonally adjusted GDP grew by 1.3 %, while seasonally non-adjusted GDP – by 1.8 %.
The GDP changes were affected by the value growth of 2.3 % in trade sector, of 0.5 % in manufacturing, of 2.9 % – in transportation and storage, and reduction of 22 % in construction sector.
