/ Starting with 2014, for the Labour Force Survey quarterly data generalisation purposes, the quarterly average number of residents in private households is used (earlier – data at the beginning of the year).

/ The data are by original maturity.

/ The data include debt issued in euro and lats in domestic market, where debt issued in lats is converted to euro with fixed exchange rate 1 EUR = 0.702804 LVL.

/ With the adoption of the euro as from 1 January 2014 the compilation methodology of analytical accounts of monetary financial institutions and central bank has changed. Due to that data comparison with previous periods is not feasible.

/ The date indicate the point of time for the latest change in policy rate

/ The column "Data for previous period" shows the prior rate

/ The data are final except for the end of year data (as of December)

/ Due to the fact that starting from 1 January 2014 Latvia became part of the Eurosystem, data were recalculated into euro in line with fixed exchange rate 1 EUR = 0.702804 LVL.
/ With the adoption of the euro as from 1 January 2014, the Bank of Latvia has ceased to quote and publish the daily official exchange rates since the determination of the exchange rate of the euro against third currencies is the responsibility of the European Central Bank. The exchange rate of the Latvian lats (LVL) to the euro has been irrevocably fixed at 0.702804. Euro foreign exchange reference rates fixed by the European Central Bank are re-disseminated on the website of the Bank of Latvia.
